  1. I am always looking for new ways to engage my students in nonfiction writing. I love that this includes two different reading responses that can be used. I particularly like that students are encouraged to label their illustrations. I can see using this for the whole class as well as for students who want to read additional nonfiction books/articles etc., complete a write-up, and share with the class what they have learned.

  2. I love these response sheets. As we all know students tend to get plenty of practice responding to fiction, and very little practice responding to non fiction (particularly at the K level). These sheets would work well for my kindergarten students and I just printed them out to use next year.

I like the non fiction response sheets. Easy to use with magazines, newspapers, books. I do think they would be great to leave with a substitute teacher.

  4. I think these response sheets would be great in a literacy center. They can used with magazines, newspapers, books or internet websites. This gives students practice responding to non-fiction articles in an engaging way.
