I gave this out to my students this year! I thought it was easy enough for students to do at home, but not so overwhelming for parents. It is great to give something over the summer for the students to work on.
maureen999 I always include a summer activities calendar in my summer packet. This calendar includes so many fun ideas like "take a walk with an adult and count your steps" and "watch the clock during the day and record the time at least 5 times." I love that it includes every math strand and touches on all literacy components from phonemic awareness to writing. It is a keeper! maureen carbone
Great summer activities! The activities are simple and fun to do. I wish I had seen this before I sent my kiddos home for the summer. Our first grade teachers use a similar calendar for their regular homework and parents love it. I would like to get something like this put together for next year!
